You can choose from four trims with the EcoSport, namely S, SE, SES, and Titanium. With the S trim comes standard equipment like 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear swing gate, halogen quad-beam reflector headlights, and power-adjustable mirrors, while the SE trim adds black roof rails, LED signature lighting, fog lights, body-colored exterior accents, and mirrors with turn-signal indicators. There are two engine options with the EcoSport. The base engine is a 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder that's mated to a six-speed automatic and produces 123 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque. If you want more power, opt for the available 2.0-liter Ti-VCT four-cylinder engine that's also paired with a six-speed automatic and kicks out 166 horsepower and 149 pound-feet of torque. The 1.0-liter engine features a front-wheel-drive system, while the 2.0-liter boasts an all-wheel-drive system.

In general, the EcoSport will provide you with a composed and agile ride. For even better performance, opt for the SES trim that boasts a sport-tuned suspension that makes for less body roll and sharp handling around corners. Both EcoSport engines feature auto stop-start technology that automatically switches off the engine when the vehicle comes to a stop and then restarts it once you lift your foot from the gas pedal to save you on gas costs and emissions.

The cabin of the EcoSport provides respectable space for up to five passengers. Measuring at 20.9 cubic feet, the cargo area of this small SUV is above average and can be extended to 50 cubic feet when the 60/40 split-folding rear seat is folded flat. The standard infotainment is sparsely equipped, but the optional Sync3 system boasts many convenient features that include an 8-inch display, satellite radio, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and Bluetooth. You can also opt for optional features like navigation and a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system. With the S trim comes basic features like air conditioning, cloth upholstery, a cargo cover, and height-adjustable front seats. The SE trim adds electronic temperature control, push-button start, a power moonroof with sunshade, a leather-wrapped shift knob, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a cargo management system, while the SES trim offers ActiveX upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. With the Titanium trim comes luxury items like ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel, leather-trimmed upholstery, heated front seats, and a power-adjustable driver's seat.

Standard safety features offered?with the EcoSport include a rearview camera, integrated blind-spot mirrors, and cruise control. Higher trims offer a reverse sensing system, BLIS with cross-traffic alert, and rain-sensing wipers.
